In a formal welcoming program organized by the JNB Movement New England Chapter, President-elect Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. expressed profound gratitude to the Liberian diaspora in Providence, Rhode Island, for their instrumental role in the recently concluded elections. The event, attended by various Liberian community leaders, showcased the unity and strength of the diaspora across the Northeastern United States.

Acknowledging the challenges of the election campaign, President-elect Boakai reflected on the immense support received from both local and international Liberians. He highlighted the pivotal role of the people’s voice in sustaining Liberia’s democracy and recognized the diaspora’s crucial contribution to a global movement for positive change.

Addressing economic challenges, Boakai advocated for a structural shift in the economy to reduce inequality.
