Monrovia-Liberia, November 19, 2023 : The Unity Party has received news of a fake statement attributed to its Standard Bearer and President -elect of Liberia H.E. Joseph Nyuma Boakai, making rounds on various social media platforms.
The Unity Party clarifies that the purported policy statement on corruption and all its content, which appears to particularly target the outgoing Weah administration, is false and misleading.
The UP wishes to however reiterate that the President-elect, H. E Joseph Nyuma Boakai remains fully committed to the campaign promise of aggressively tackling corruption without prejudice to a particular government.
The UP urges everyone to refrain from making policy statements on behalf of H. E Joseph Nyuma Boakai without the approval of the Par ty or the Honourable office of the President-elect.
